Who We Are

EDDIE CODEL TECHNICAL OVERLORD
Eddie is an ex-con, DC native, escaped mental patient and weaver of hemp-based egg huggies who realized San Francisco would ask no questions. He's been involved with Webzine since the beginning, contributing technical know-how and orginizational what-not. While Eddie is not as much of a media-whore as Ryan, he does get enough ego-boosting exposure from eddie.com, his future portal for all the Eddies of the world.

TOMAS CLARKE NEW YORK WHIP
Tomas Clark came to the Web six years ago from a shallow, murky background in print design and building online game worlds. For the last five years he's worked for the webzine word.com, where he is Associate Producer/Editor. He recently produced Word's multiplayer online game, Sissyfight 2000, where he is known as "Claudia." He is also working, very slowly, on a documentary video about comics culture.

SCOTT BEALE PARTY POOPER
Scott Beale is the father of the infamous Squid List, an invaluable online resource for all that it cool and underground in San Francisco. Scott is the glue that makes Webzine work well with others. ERICA MILSOM YOUTH MOVER
Erica Milsom has spent the last 8 years working with young people on the task of finding out who they are in the world. From digging latrines in Latin America to making Television in San Francisco, she's connected youth to community service opportunities they can love. Currently she's taking a career turn and doing professional video editing and teaching kids video production. She's involved in Webzine because she believes that young people, given the skills and access, could find a strong independent voice on the internet.

J BETTY RAY SNARK PRINCESS
J Betty Ray is a bitchy, cranky old coot who still thinks the Web is about self-expression, despite the valiant efforts of Silicon Valley, Madison Avenue and Wall Street. She is also the creator of Fuckertown.com ‚ an animated cartoon serial which intends to prove that quality content the only way to attract and retain eyeballs ‚ especially as computers move off of desktops and in front of Laz-E-Boys. visit: http://www.fuckertown.com

PAUL WEINSTEIN WORKSHOP WIZARD
Paul spends too much time behind his computer monitors. Either at work being a T-1 line or at home with his DSL he weaves his own personal site covering his exploits online and off. His current exploit is focused on get Zinecities.com the default place where zinesters of all type hang to get the word. visit: http://www.weinstein.org

CEDRICK STANTON MEDIA PROVACATEUR
Back in New York, Cedrick woke every morning to heated slippers, a silk robe, a four course breakfast and an erotic massage from his French maids. After fathering Madonna's child, he left his privledged lifestyle to live among the masses. Now, pale and weak with malnutrition, he lives in an abandoned builing in the East Bay and begs on the streets for crusts of bread enough to keep him alive while he pursues his art. visit: http://www.starkravingnormal.com

WENDY WAGNER VOLUNTEER GUARDIAN

Corbin's passion and creative outlet is iskip.com, a website that's mission is to remind adults about the joys of skipping. She plans on using her recent media experience with places like the San Francisco Chronicle, Time Magazine, CNN, and NPR, to help get the word out about WEBZINE 2000. visit: http://www.iskip.com

P SEGAL FOOD DEBUTANTE
Eddie recently gave up the good life for a day job with some fancy, shmancy web developer company, trading in pissy clients for steady redundancy, but not freak freedom. He also has a rarely updated personal site that chronicles personal freakiness. visit: http://www.proust.com

RYAN JUNELL FUNDING FREAK / MEDIA MONKEY
Event organizer Ryan Junell is a San Francisco resident who has become fed up doing freelance web design on meaningless corporate internet sites. Originally from West Texas, he is a self-professed media whore with professional and non-commerical experience in radio, television, film, theater, newspapers, and the internet. He believes the world needs a healthy dose of independent media. He also stars in the upcoming digital feature film "Radio Free Steve". visit: http://www.texasmonkey.com
